Mom of three. Exhausted. I had nothing left to give myself - until I did.
I started and stopped more times than I can count.
I'm a mom of three, and somewhere along the way, starting over became its own routine for me. A few good weeks, then life would take over, and the weight would creep back. By the time we actually sat down to talk about training, I told her straight up that I didn't want to start. Not because I didn't want the result - I'd just been here before, and I knew exactly how it would end. I was already running on empty, and the last thing I needed was someone throwing hard, exhausting workouts at me on top of everything else.
So we didn't start there. We started slow, nutrition and training together, built around where I actually was instead of where some program said I should be. No extreme rules, no sessions that would wreck me for three days after. We adjusted as we went, week by week — what I was eating, how I was moving, how much I could actually recover from that week.
It wasn't smooth the whole way through, either. At one point the scale went up before it came back down, a real plateau, and it hit my motivation hard. Honestly, that was probably the moment that mattered most. I could've walked away right there, like I had every other time. I didn't — her support mattered to me, and it's what kept me going. I kept showing up.
Here's where the numbers landed:
Jan 2 - 189.2 lb, 37.1% body fat to May 26 - 151 lb, 27.9% body fat
38 lbs down, body fat down over 9 points. I'm also lifting a lot more than when I started - that part doesn't show up on the scale, but it's just as real to me.
The number I actually talk about most isn't even on that list, though. It's my energy. I used to feel like I had to sit down and rest between work and the kids. Now I'm the one getting on a bike with them.
I'm still going. Not chasing a finish line, just chasing more strength, because I remember exactly how it felt to be where I was before - and I'm not going back there.
I can't recommend her highly enough. She never pressured me, judged me, or put me on a strict diet full of rules. She helped me make small, realistic changes that added up to lasting results, and I finally have a healthier relationship with food and exercise. The results have been life-changing!
